Ambassadors for Change has a long history of working with communities around the world. Over the years, AFC has won numerous awards, including proclamations by 36 Mayors, and the Governor’s resolution for “Ambassadors For Change Day” in Arizona. Highlights of our work include the following projects:
AFC Africa – Developed a computer lab and resume writing program for the farming community in Paarl, South Africa.
AFC Africa – Worked with a cultural arts program in Harare, Zimbabwe.
AFC U.S.A. – Coordinated a youth project regarding race and reconciliation – organized cultural shows with youth in Chicago’s inner city schools.
AFC U.S.A. – Organized the Youth Rally Against Violence, a post-Columbine community event in Phoenix that brought together politicians, musicians, educators, law enforcement officials and community members to encourage alternatives to violence.
AFC U.S.A. – Coordinated a partnership with the U.S. State Department and the University of Indiana exchange program to bring leaders from Southern Africa to the U.S. for training -including judges, government officials, city planners, newscasters, security equivalent to the FBI and tribal leaders in media.
